1. Introduction

This Cookie Policy explains how Kotak Tech, Inc., operating as Roominary ("we," "us," or "our"), uses cookies and similar technologies when you visit or use our website and services. This policy is designed to help you understand what cookies are, which cookies we use, why we use them, and how you can control your cookie preferences.

This Cookie Policy should be read alongside our Privacy Policy, which provides further details about how we collect, use, and protect your personal information.

2. What Are Cookies

Cookies are small text files that are placed on your device (computer, tablet, or mobile phone) when you visit a website. They are widely used to make websites work more efficiently, provide a better user experience, and supply information to site owners.

Cookies can be classified by their lifespan and the domain to which they belong:

  • Session cookies are temporary and are deleted when you close your browser.
  • Persistent cookies remain on your device for a set period or until you manually delete them.
  • First-party cookies are set by the website you are visiting (in this case, Roominary).
  • Third-party cookies are set by a domain other than the one you are visiting, typically by services integrated into the website.

5. Managing Your Cookie Preferences

5.2 Browser Controls

Most web browsers allow you to manage cookies through their settings. Below is a guide to accessing cookie settings in popular browsers:

BrowserCookie Settings Location
Google ChromeSettings > Privacy and Security > Cookies and other site data
Mozilla FirefoxSettings > Privacy & Security > Cookies and Site Data
SafariPreferences > Privacy > Manage Website Data
Microsoft EdgeSettings > Cookies and site permissions > Manage and delete cookies and site data

Please note: Blocking all cookies (including strictly necessary cookies) may prevent you from logging in and using core features of Roominary.

5.3 Google Analytics Opt-Out

In addition to managing cookies through our preference center or your browser settings, you can opt out of Google Analytics tracking across all websites by installing the Google Analytics Opt-Out Browser Add-on, available from Google.

5.4 Do Not Track

Some browsers offer a "Do Not Track" (DNT) signal. There is currently no industry standard for how websites should respond to DNT signals, and Roominary does not currently respond to them. We recommend using our Cookie Preference Center to manage your tracking preferences instead.

6. Cookies and Third-Party Services

We integrate with the following third-party services, each of which may use cookies or similar technologies as described below:

ProviderPurposePrivacy Policy
SupabaseAuthentication and database servicessupabase.com/privacy
StripePayment processingstripe.com/privacy
Google AnalyticsAnalytics (loaded only with your consent)policies.google.com/privacy
VercelHosting and anonymous analyticsvercel.com/legal/privacy-policy

Google Gemini: We use the Google Gemini API for server-side image processing. Google Gemini does not set any cookies in your browser. Image data is sent to Google's servers for processing and is not stored by Google beyond what is necessary to provide the service.

7. Cookies and Your Privacy Rights

Under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and other applicable data protection laws, consent for non-essential cookies must be:

  • Freely given — you are not required to accept optional cookies to use our service.
  • Specific — consent is requested for each category of optional cookies.
  • Informed — this policy provides clear information about each cookie we use.
  • Unambiguous — consent is given through a clear affirmative action (clicking "Accept All" or enabling specific categories).

You have the right to withdraw your consent at any time through our Cookie Preference Center. Withdrawal of consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing based on consent before its withdrawal.

Strictly necessary cookies are exempt from consent requirements because they are essential for the website to function.

For more information about your privacy rights, please see our Privacy Policy.

8. Changes to This Cookie Policy

We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, technologies, or legal requirements. When we make changes, we will update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page.

If we introduce new categories of cookies or significantly change how we use existing cookies, we will re-request your consent through our cookie consent banner.
